How much does product photography cost, where can I find the prices?

A product photo shoot can have amazingly variable parameters. It is impossible to establish a uniform pricing because every project is different.
 
If you had to give an approximate value, product photography costs between HUF 1,500 and HUF 8,000 per image, but the price depends on many factors:
- What is the number of products?
- Do you want product photos with a single-colored background, or with a unique background, arranged in a composition?
- Do you need a model for the pictures?
- Does the photographer do the post-production, or do you take care of it?
- What's the location? Do we take photos in the studio or do you have to go to an external location?
- What is the deadline for requesting the photos? Is it urgent or do we have time?

I'm not the cheapest product photographer on the market, but I wouldn't put myself in the unaffordable category either.
When it comes to pricing, I've always tried to ask for an amount that would keep my business afloat, but despite that, I try to stay in the affordable category.
A perfect balance of price-value ratio, this is my goal since I started.

Is it possible to take a test photo?

Of course there is. In this regard, please indicate when requesting a quote that you would also like to request a test photo shoot.

How many images should be taken of a specific product?

Accepted Answer

This is absolutely decided by the product. If it is a product that is completely symmetrical (e.g.: wine bottle), 1-2 photos of them are enough. However, if it is a more complex product, we have to take even 4-5 photos to be able to present it properly.

Do you provide the raw images?

I usually don't hand over raw photos. This is because a raw photo is a semi-finished product. It gets its final form with retouching and appropriate post-production, so unfortunately I cannot give you these pictures. Of course, there are special cases, for example, if you are an agency with professional graphic designers who I know will be in good hands with my photos, then of course we can agree on this.

Practically any age. From jewelry to the size of cars, I have the capacity for products of any size.

We deliver images in 300 dpi for print preparation and 72 dpi for web use.
The size of the images is decided by mutual agreement.
